USDA Certified

This is a USDA Certified BioBased Product 72%. It contains 72% organic carbon making it more biodegradable than traditional detergents that typically contain 40% organic carbon.

Fragrance Notes

The Brazilian Rosewood variant is infused with floral notes of woody nutmeg and spiced veitver. The Japanese Cypress variant is infused with spicy notes of citrus, pepper and woody musk.

Cleaning Efficacy

Our products are tested at Bureau Veritas and are proven to clean at par or better than traditional detergents.

When i came across this product on instagram, i just gave it a try and never went back to supermarket detergents. The clothes are softer, the economics works out and it doesn't create a residue on clothes.

Is the product safe for baby clothes

In short - Yes. Our fragrance detergent range (Brazilian Rosewood and Japanese Cypress) are both USDA Certified BioBased Products with a score of 72%. They contain a higher percentage of naturally occurring ingredients and exclude Sulphates & phosphates and are very safe to wash your baby’s clothes. Do you use any sulphates / phosphates or parabens

Our products are free from all of the above. Our active ingredients like surfactants are sourced from naturally occurring sources. Refer to our ingredients page for full disclosure.

Are your plant-based products as or more effective compared to traditional detergents

Our products are tested and verified for their cleaning efficacy for the most commonly occurring stains (turmeric, oil, grease, dirt / mud, tea / coffee, blood, wine, ketchup and ink), with proven efficacy being at par or better than the traditional detergents.

Is the product safe for sensitive skin or allergy-prone skin

Our product contains a high percentage of plant and mineral-based ingredients, hence, it is gentle for people with sensitive or allergy-prone skin.

Can I reuse my detergent bottle

Yes. Our aim is to encourage you to buy the bottle from us only once. Subsequent purchases should be of our refill pack. We also recommend reusing the bottle at home.

What is the benefit of purchasing refills

Our ECO-Friendly refill packs are manufactured out of aluminium, nylon and plastic. The overall plastic content is 70% lower than that of traditional plastic bottles making them much better for our planet. They are the perfect option to refill your existing PET bottle.

What is the difference between Born Good Concentrated Detergent and Fragrance Detergent?

The main difference between Born Good's Concentrated Detergent and Fragrance Detergents is that you require less detergent per load when you use our concentrated detergents. Born Good's Concentrated Detergent consumes 10ml per load of 6-8kg's whereas the Fragrance Detergent consumes 40ml per load of 6-8kg's

How to use BornGood's Fragrance Detergent
For machine wash, use 40ml (1 capful) for a normal load of 6-8 Kg's or 60ml (1.5 capfuls) for a heavily soiled load. Add the detergent into the detergent compartment.
For hand wash, use 40ml (1 capful) in 4 litres of water (for 8-10 items). Soak and scrub to remove all stains.
